Calcium Fluoride (CaF2) Lenses are made of calcium fluoride substrate. Calcium fluoride material has a wide transmission spectrum range (180nm-8.0μm), with high damage threshold, low fluorescence, high uniformity and soft physical properties, is used as a basis for a variety of optical components.
Calcium fluoride has a high transmittance between ultraviolet and mid-infrared (250nm~7um), so it is widely used in the manufacture of prisms, windows and lenses, etc., in some applications with a wide spectral range, it can be used directly without coating, especially its small absorption and high laser threshold, which is very suitable for application in excimer laser optical systems.
